Fiction is a Worlde-inspired game of deception. One player is the Lie-brarian and chooses a secret word from a classic work of literature. The other players will, as a team, use logic to deduce the secret word as quickly as possible. They have 10 guesses and two 10 minute time periods to deduce the secret word, but the Lie-brarians clues will always contain exactly one lie.

Our game nights had gotten stale until we tried this, and now everyone argues over who gets to pick the secret word. Choosing from a real literary passage makes the deducing way harder than plain Wordle, in a good way.

We’ve played this three nights in a row now, and the Lie-brarian role is such a fun twist when you’re the one picking the word—watching everyone fumble through logic is half the joy. Setup is quick, and even the quieter players in our group end up debating clues by the second round.

We played this at game night and the Lie-brarian twist really sets it apart—guessing a word hidden in a classic novel makes every round feel like a puzzle and a bluff at the same time. Even the quieter players got into the teamwork of narrowing down clues.
