Discover what comes in the Blood Rage: Gods of Asgard expansion box, including new miniatures, cards, and the rules for an entirely new game mode.
Quick answer
The Blood Rage: Gods of Asgard expansion contains 6 detailed deity miniatures, their matching cards, and a rulebook that introduces an entirely new game mode where the Norse gods interfere with clan battles.
Why this expansion is different from other Blood Rage add-ons
Instead of simply adding new monsters or clan upgrades, Gods of Asgard changes how the game flows. The 6 deities each have unique abilities that can aid or harm any clan, making every match unpredictable. This means you need the base Blood Rage game to play, but the expansion completely changes your strategy.
What the new game mode means for your table
The new mode introduces god intervention rounds where players can call upon the deities for favor. This adds a layer of diplomacy and risk management on top of the existing battle system. If you enjoy tactical twists and variable player powers, this expansion delivers that without bloating the playtime.
Frequently asked questions about the Gods of Asgard expansion
- Do I need the base Blood Rage game to play this expansion?
- Yes. This is an expansion and requires a base copy of Blood Rage to play. It does not include the core game components like clan figures or the game board.
- How many miniatures are included?
- The box contains 6 highly detailed deity miniatures, each representing a different Norse god. These are separate from the clan figures in the base game.
- What exactly is the new game mode?
- The new mode lets the gods themselves step into the fray. Players can call upon deities to aid or harm clans as their whims dictate, adding a layer of unpredictability and strategic depth to every turn. If you enjoy variable player powers and negotiation, this mode adds fresh tension without extra rules overhead.
- Are the cards and miniatures compatible with previous Blood Rage expansions?
- Yes. The cards and miniatures are designed to work alongside other Blood Rage expansions and the base game. However, the new game mode is a standalone variant—you choose to play with it or stick with the classic rules.
